Join park education staff for a walk under the (almost) full moon, followed by an opportunity to view the moon through the telescopes. The program length will be two and a half hours, which includes stops along the way and time at the telescopes.
Registration is required for this activity. Spaces are limited and will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis.
The walk will begin and end at the Fishing Pier and traverse a 2.5-mile loop through the park on our paved bike trail. We will be returning to the Fishing Pier for lunar observation around 7:30 PM.
All children must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are requested to remain at home due to presence of delicate astronomy equipment. Bring water, wear sturdy shoes, and bring a flashlight or headlamp in case of cloud cover. Program will be cancelled in the event of rainy weather.
