Families are invited to participate in our monthly Homeschooling Summer Series at Raymond B. Winter State Park! Certain programs will be recommended for a specific age group.
Trees are one of our most valuable resources, and our forests are rooted (pun-intended) deeply into Pennsylvania History. Join us as we explore the natural history of the forests at Raymond B. Winter State Park. Participants will practice identifying common trees, hike our Rapid Run Nature Trail, and more, to connect with our towering trees. This program is recommended for families with children 12 and above. Most of this program will be outdoors if the weather allows.
Please register in advance by clicking here or the "Register" button above. A reminder email will be sent out to registered families 2-3 days before the scheduled program.
If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least seven days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for programs. For program questions or accommodations, contact the park educator at rebharner@pa.gov or 570-966-1455.
