Mother’s Day Wildflower Walk, Sketch & Paint
Due to the weather forecast, this event has been rescheduled to Sunday, May 24 at 11:00 AM. Celebrate the beauty of spring at our Mother’s Day Wildflower Walk, Sketch & Paint, a peaceful, creative experience set in the woods of Lackawanna State Park! Begin with a short, guided walk along Turkey Hill Trail, where you’ll discover vibrant wildflowers, learn about native plants and soak in the fresh air and natural beauty of the season. As we wander, you’ll be encouraged to slow down, observe and connect with nature. After the walk, we’ll gather for a relaxing watercolor painting session inspired by the flowers and landscapes you’ve just experienced. Whether you’re a beginner or have some artistic experience, this workshop is designed to be welcoming, low-pressure and joyful. All materials provided through the Northeast Pennsylvania Environmental Literacy Network. This experience is perfect for individuals, families, and especially mother-child pairs looking to spend meaningful time together. Create lasting memories and leave with a handmade piece of art that captures the day. All are welcome, but pre-registration required as space is limited. To sign-up, click on the Register icon.
