Read with a Ranger: It's Spring!

Join park staff for a morning of stories out in nature! We will share books about spring and take a very short walk on the paved trail to look for flowers, birds, water, and other spring delights. Afterwards, feel free to stay and eat lunch at the playground with other families! Please register for the program by clicking the "register" button above. This event is open to all families and children of any age. Children must be accompanied by an adult guardian throughout the program. We will meet at the Environmental Education Center, then take a short walk to the playground via the paved trail. In case of rain, we will read our stories inside instead. Direction to the Environmental Education Center from the Park Office: 1. From the park office parking lot, head northeast by turning right onto Route 563/ Mountain View Drive. 2. Proceed 0.8 miles to Harrisburg School Road and turn right. 3. Proceed 0.3 miles to the stop sign (entering the park) and turn right. 4. Proceed 0.2 miles to parking lot #12 and park. 5. Using either the main park roadway (follow the lights!) or the gravel path, walk through the wooded area 400 ft to the Environmental Education Center.
