Oyster Mushroom Workshop

Grow your own oyster mushrooms on logs in your backyard! Oyster mushrooms are easy to identify and grow. And delicious! To grow backyard mushrooms, we “inoculate” logs by drilling small holes through the bark and then tap in dowels with living mushroom spores. Go home with your own log, ready to grow. Place the log outdoors in a shady damp spot, and nature does the rest! This workshop is designed for adult beginners, but everyone is welcome. Method is similar to the shiitake mushroom workshops held in the past but simpler. Learn how to choose your own logs, when to cut them, and choices of mushrooms.
