End the week with a relaxing paddle on Shawnee Lake! On the second and fourth Friday night of the month throughout the summer we will paddle and explore a different section of the lake. Along the way, learn about the park and the wildlife we see. All equipment is provided. Bring plenty of water and your binoculars or camera. Use one of our kayaks or bring your own. IF YOU BRING YOUR OWN KAYAK, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO PRE-REGISTER. The program fee is $5 per adult and $2 for youth between the ages of 8 and 12 whether you bring your own kayak or use one of ours. Payment can be made by cash or check at the beginning of the program. This program is not recommended for children under the age of 8. Youth are required to use a tandem kayak with a responsible adult. There are a limited number of tandem kayaks available upon request. Those under 18 must have an adult present to sign a waiver. For more information, call (814)733-2203 or contact us by e-mail at Gbarner@pa.gov.
Registration Instructions: Pre-registration is suggested for participants needing equipment. Any unreserved kayaks will be available on a first come basis the evening of the event. Space is limited, so register now to reserve your kayak program slot by clicking on the "Buy Tickets" button to the right (you are not actually paying now). If you are registering for more than one person, choose the “Group” options to ensure that enough kayaks are reserved for you. Registration begins the Wednesday before the program and closes at 3:00 PM on the day of the program.
