Getting Around The Point: An Introduction to Geocaching
Description
Join our park naturalist in front of the Fort Pitt Block House to learn a little bit about geocaching, a high-tech treasure hunting game. The program will last for an hour and will cover the basics of using an electronic GPS unit to find specific locations within the park. This program is for beginners and will not be intensive. Normal clothes and walking shoes will be appropriate for the program.
Point State Park has several GPS units that will be available for participants to use during the program. Equipment and space is limited, so all participants must register prior to the program.
