Geology Walk and Talk
Have you ever wondered about the natural history of our region before the Nolde Family, before the Lenape people, before any humans at all? What can we learn from studying the local rocks in our forests and waterways? Join DCNR’s Nolde Forest Environmental Educational Specialist Supervisor Sarah Presogna and retired Bureau of Geological Survey geologist Sim Suter for a fascinating look at the geologic diversity of the Nolde Forest and surrounding Berks County in this Youth and Adult level program. Participants will assemble at McConnell Hall for an orientation prior to a Geology Walk and Talk into the forest along the park trails to examine some of these rock features up close and in person. Please dress for the weather.
