For those of you who spend a lot of time on the water or just wish you felt more comfortable in your kayak, we have the course for you on July 15th and 16th, 2022! Join certified ACA kayak instructors for a two-day course on the essentials of kayaking. You will be instructed on water safety, paddling techniques and strokes, self-rescue and more. Friday evening will be class instruction from 6 PM to 8:30 PM at the AAUW Pavilion at TREC. Saturday will be on the water, meeting at Beach 11 pavilion from 9 AM – 3 PM. Everyone will be expected to perform a wet-exit and you will be getting wet, so bring appropriate water attire and a towel. Snacks provided, bring your own lunch. Registration is required and limited to 12 participants with a fee of $75.00 payable at registration. To make payment, please call the park office at 814.833.7424, Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. Participants must be at least 12 years old and accompanied by a parent if under 17
