Title
A Sweet Stroll Through Maple History
Description
Discover how sap taken from a maple tree becomes syrup on the breakfast table on Sunday, March 6, 2022. Choose one of four available time slots to participate in this program, 10:00 AM, 11:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 2:00 PM. This free outdoor program is open to the public and registration is required by Friday, March 4th. Please register by clicking the green button to the right. The entire program will take place outdoors and will begin with an introduction that will unravel the mystery of how trees function. Then enjoy a guided walk, which will take you through the history of maple sugaring. See a working evaporator and get a taste of spring itself, real maple syrup. The Nature Shop at Jennings, run by friends group 3MJC, will offer a variety of local maple products. What a great way to celebrate the end of winter! If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit. With at least three days notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.
