Come discover the Fresh and salty creatures of our beautiful blue planet! This is an afterschool camp geared toward first through sixth graders and runs every Friday in January from 4:00 to 5:30 PM on January 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th. Students are expected to attend all 4 weeks as we will be building on what we learned the week before. Registration for the January 7th class will register you for the rest of the camp - no need to sign up for all 4 weeks. This is a drop off camp where parents will leave their students at 4pm and pick them up from the EE Center at 5:30. Camp will be cancelled if the Governor Mifflin School District is closed or delayed due to inclement weather that day. Camp format will include inside learning and craft activities as well as outside activities so have your campers dress for the weather! Topics to be featured are as follows: Fish, sharks, and whales;Bioluminescence and other adaptationsBubbles, Troubles, and Solutions Students will be encouraged to develop and implement their own research project and/or invention to help increase water quality. Projects will be presented to parents on the last day of camp January 28th at 5:00 PM. Cost is $30.00 per student; financial assistance is available. You will receive payment instrctions in your conformation letter. Only pre-registered students will be allowed to participate.
