Start 2022 out right with a First Day Hike at Cowans Gap State Park. This hike is 1.5 miles long over easy terrain. The hike is along the pleasant, level scenic trail that encircles Cowans Gap Lake. Bring water to drink and dress appropriately in layers for the weather. This hike is a family and pet friendly hike. The first hike leaves from Pavilion 2 beginning at 1:00 pm and a second hike will leave at 2:00 pm. Enjoy free hot beverages and snacks before the hike. The hike is sponsored and led by the Friends of Cowans Gap State Park. Registration not required but suggested.
