The autumn season brings an abundance of hard shelled nuts dropping from overhead tree limbs. Acorns, chestnuts and walnuts are among the native tree nuts of our state. Join a Park Naturalist via Skype for Business for a virtual presentation on tree nuts. We will discuss identification, basic ecology, as well as wildlife and human usage. This program is suitable for ages 7 and up. Participants, especially younger ages, are encouraged to gather their own tree nuts prior to the program for a show-and-tell segment.
