Join a naturalist at 9 a.m. on select weekdays for hikes of varying length and difficulty. This year’s series visits trails on our public lands including state parks, state forests, and state game lands. Come out to get some exercise, learn about the area’s natural history, and relax in the fresh air. Hikes are free and open to the public. Well-behaved and friendly leashed dogs are welcome
TRAIL: Hawk Falls & Orchard Trail Loop

MEET: Hawk Falls trailhead at Hickory Run State Park on PA-534
This popular trail showcases the beauty of Hickory Run State Park. We'll stop at scenic Hawk Falls before heading to the Orchard Trail Loop. The trail skirts a ridge above Mud Run before heading down a small and gentle switchback to the water's edge. It follows one of the most beautiful stretches of creek in the park before heading up and into the forest, back towards the starting point.
Please wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water.
