Join outdoor experts from LL Bean and the park naturalist on this 2 hours Birding by Kayak excursion on Marsh Creek Lake. We will learn the basics of both birding and boating at the LL Bean Outdoor Discovery School and then we will take to the water, exploring the quieter coves of the lake looking for nesting wood ducks, soaring osprey, and fishing herons (as well as some other wildlife, too!)
All equipment will be provided, but feel free to bring your personal pair of binoculars or your own fitted PFDs if you have them.
Ages 12 and up only.
Please note: this program has VERY LIMITED availability. You MUST sign up in advance to reserve a boat. If you are unable to join us on the excursion, please cancel your registration so the next person on the wait list is able to take your place. The class will be meeting at the Outdoor Discovery School Building, NOT the Marsh Creek Park Office. You will receive an email with the exact address when you register.
