Watershed Education Hybrid Educator Workshop
Watershed Education (WE) is an inquiry-based, interdisciplinary curriculum that is geared for students in grades 6 -12. By blending hands-on classroom and field investigations, students participate in data collection and analysis, community networking and partnerships, stewardship and service learning activities. Workshop participants are eligible for 10.5 hours of Act 48 hours split between virtual discussion, homework, and an in-person session. PPID numbers are required to claim these hours. This hands-on workshop is open to formal and non-formal educators alike! Attendance is required for both a virtual session held through MS Teams on 29 March 2023 and an in-person session on 13 April 2023 to receive hours and a copy of the curriculum and resources. We will have a working lunch, so participants are asked to bring their own lunch. As we will be both indoors and outdoors, please dress in layers and for the weather! The cost for this workshop is $30. Online registration is required by 1 March 2023. If you need an accommodation to participate in PA State Park activities due to a disability, please contact the park at (272) 808-6192. With at least seven days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs.

I will need accommodation in order to participate in this program. I recognize that if an ASL interpreter is needed, I will need to register 5 days or more in advance of the event so that the park can secure an interpreter for me.
I will notify Hickory Run State Park if my plans change.
