Adopt A Beach at Presque Isle State Park
We are pleased to announce the return of our Adopt A Beach program! Are you a local resident who enjoys visiting Presque Isle State Park? Are you proud that this gem is right in your back yard? If so, please consider joining our Adopt a Beach team. Right now, we are once again accepting volunteers to help keep our beaches clean. We are challenging dedicated individuals and civic organizations and businesses to take part in our annual beach cleaning program. We run the program from May to October each year. This year, the FOURTH cleanup is on Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 9 am to 12pm, meeting at the Front Desk of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, and NOT the AAUW Pavilion as usual. There are several areas on the park that need adopted. If you are interested, please visit this link to register: Please register each participant separately by clicking on the green button to the right. Anyone may participate, although those who are under 18 must participate with a parent or responsible adult. If you plan on creating a team, please email John Laskos at jlaskos@pa.gov soon after registering. Programming is subject to modification or cancellation at the discretion of park staff. If you need an accommodation to participate in Park activities due to a disability, please contact Presque Isle State Park at 814-833-7424 to make arrangements for your visit. With at least three days’ notice, interpreters for people who are deaf or hard of hearing are available for educational programs. Please call the Erie ASL Interpreters’ Office at (814) 806-2511 for more information about this service

I will need accommodation in order to participate in this program. I recognize that if an ASL interpreter is needed, I will need to register 5 days or more in advance of the event so that the park can secure an interpreter for me.
I will notify Presque Isle State Park if my plans change.
