State Symbols
What do the Eastern Hemlock and the Ruffed Grouse have in common? If you didn’t already know, they are two of the many State Symbols that Pennsylvania has adopted over the years. There are many others. If you are eager to find out what they are, join a park Naturalist on Friday, February 12, 2021 at 1PM and discover more. Please register by visiting this link: http://events.dcnr.pa.gov/presque_isle_state_park. After registering, you will be sent a link to join the program via Microsoft TEAMS. This program is suitable for all ages. There is no fee. Please register by February 7. Program may be modified or cancelled at discretion of park staff. For more information, please contact the Presque Isle State Park office, located on the second floor of the Tom Ridge Environmental Center, at 814-833-7424. The office is open Monday through Friday from 8 AM – 4 PM. If you need an accommodation to participate in park activities due to a disability, please contact the park you plan to visit.
