Go Teach: Hiking 101 Educator Workshop
Description
Hiking can open the door to many educational opportunities. Join us and explore the possibilities of using hiking to modernize your curriculum and remake learning in your classroom. This workshop is focused on teachers and educators who teach science, geography, or physical education. Outdoor group leaders are welcome as well. Lessons focus on health, fitness, trip planning, map and compass, finding local trails, forest ecology and nature journaling. Teachers can obtain 5.5 ACT 48 hours from this workshop.
