The Flight of the Wonderful Woodcock
Bush Snipe? Bog Sucker? Whatever the name may be this unique bird is a sure sign of spring. Join park staff as we learn about the woodcock’s peculiar adaptions and rituals. After a short talk we will take a walk along the Hopewell Bigwoods trail (a newly discovered woodcock mecca) hoping to hear a number of woodocks. Ideally, the woodcock will preform its “sky dance”. Other critters may be active as well, what will we see? Please sign up by clicking the green register button. Make sure to wear proper shoes for walking outside the trail is ADA accessible and we will be walking anywhere from 1-2 miles on very easy terrain. flashlight recommended. Meet at the Hopewell bigwoods trail (165 center rd, douglassville).

    I will need accommodation in order to participate in this program. I recognize that if an ASL interpreter is needed, I will need to register 5 days or more in advance of the event so that the park can secure an interpreter for me.
