First Day Hike

The Friends of Shawnee and Blue Knob invite you to take a hike to the historic group camp at Blue Knob State Park. Participants will hike to the historic dining hall in group camp one, where the Friends group will be offering hot chocolate and light snacks fireside inside the dining hall. Hikers can choose to return to the parking area via the same trail they hiked in or choose a more adventurous, and slightly longer, return route on Rock 'n Ridge Trail. A limited supply of snowshoes will be available if conditions permit. Restrooms are not available in these areas, please plan accordingly.

    I will need accommodation in order to participate in this program. I recognize that if an ASL interpreter is needed, I will need to register 5 days or more in advance of the event so that the park can secure an interpreter for me.
