A Virtual Exploration of Making Real Maple Syrup
Virtually explore how real maple syrup is made at Jennings Environmental Education Center during this live virtual program on February 16 at 10 am. Meant particularly for adults, this event will cover the process of maple sugaring from start to finish, and through the ages, including how to ID, measure, and tap the trees, and how maple syrup is collected and cooked in many ways, from the traditional to the modern. Participants will be able to ask questions at various points during the program, but video and mic are not required. Participating in the virtual program is free, but registration is required to receive a link for the program, which can be viewed in a browser with no special downloads or log in required. To register, click the register button or call 724-794-6011. A link to view the event after it is presented will also be available on request to those who cannot attend during the scheduled time. No registration is required for this non-live option, but contact Jennings at 724-794-6011 or email jenningssp@pa.gov to receive this link following the scheduled program time. *Following the virtual program, participants are invited to explore Jennings on their own, looking for signs of maple sugaring throughout the park using a special edition, limited time guide. Participants can also visit the Nature Shop for all of their maple syrup and maple sugaring needs (pre-order forms and curbside pick-up available).

I will need accommodation in order to participate in this program. I recognize that if an ASL interpreter is needed, I will need to register 5 days or more in advance of the event so that the park can secure an interpreter for me.
I will notify Jennings Environmental Education Center if my plans change.
