Benninghoff History Hike
Do you enjoy tales of robberies, set-ups, menacing cowboys, and town gossips? Buckle up and prepare yourself for the story of John Benninghoff and the time he lost $250,000.00. Join the park naturalist on a hike to the Benninghoff Farm, with several informational stops along the way. Today this site is home to six 35-foot tall Oil Derricks and an engine house with a beautiful view of part of the Oil Creek Valley. This hike will be out-and-back, totaling 1.5 miles of moderate trail. Bring water! Registration is required. You may register by clicking the green button or calling 814.676.1810. The exact meeting location will be disclosed upon registration. Masks are required.

    I will need accommodation in order to participate in this program. I recognize that if an ASL interpreter is needed, I will need to register 5 days or more in advance of the event so that the park can secure an interpreter for me.
