Birding with Baird - Great Backyard Bird Count Edition
Each February, for four days, the world comes together for the love of birds. Over these four days Cornell Lab of Ornithology invites people to spend time in their favorite places watching and counting as many birds as they can find and reporting them. These observations help scientists better understand global bird populations before one of their annual migrations. Join us at Nolde Forest for a winter bird walk with Baird Ornithological Club as part of the global Great Backyard Bird Count. Registration is required for all participants (both adults and children). Spaces are limited, so please be sure you sign up by clicking the green box in the upper righthand corner. We will not be able to take walk up participants. *Adults and children ages 12+. Families with younger children can register for the family program that is being offered at 11am. Registration is also required for that program.* Questions regarding this program should be directed to Nolde Forest educator, Rebekah, at rsheeler@pa.gov Programs are rain or shine but will be cancelled for severe weather. You will be contacted if the program is cancelled due to a severe weather forecast. NOTE: Please bring your own binoculars if you have them, or come to look and listen with your eyes and ears, only! You don't need fancy gear to enjoy the forest!
