Little Tadpole Series: Night Animals that Crawl
Welcome to our Little Tadpole Series! This series will encourage younger children (ages 3 – 5 years old) to notice nature and the world around them. Included in every program will be a short story and a “brain break” (physical/sensory activity). For every program, please dress your children in outdoor clothes that are acceptable to be dirty, painted on, muddy, and/or possibly wet. Closed toe shoes that do not easily fall off, are also highly recommended. For this program, we will be learning about Night Animals that Crawl – Identification, furs and skulls, etc. All programs in the series are as follows: 1) Parts of a Flower – May 7th, 20212) Flowers in Our Backyard – May 21st, 20213) Water – June 11th, 20214) Aquatic Plants and Animals – June 25th, 20215) Raspberries and Blackberries – July 2nd, 20216) Blueberries and Cranberries – July 16th, 20217) Insects – August 6th, 20218) Aquatic Insects – August 20th, 20219) Migrating Birds (Eagles, Ospreys, & Hawks) – September 3rd, 202110) Migrating Birds (Ducks, Geese, and Swans) – September 17th, 202111) Night Animals that Fly – October 15th, 202112) Night Animals that Crawl – October 29th, 202113) Game Animals – November 5th, 2021 ***Exact locations will be given in the confirmation email after registering. If you do not receive an email, please call the park office at (814)342-5960.*** ***COVID-19 Stipulations*** Pre-registration is required and limited to 10 participants. If multiple people are attending, please make sure to sign up as a group (including parents/guardians). Program participants must wear a face covering or mask (unless exempt), and maintain social distancing. It is also suggested to bring hand sanitizer while visiting.
