Benninghoff History Hike

Do you enjoy tales of robberies, set-ups, menacing cowboys, and town gossips? Buckle up and prepare yourself for the story of John Benninghoff and the time he lost $250,000.00. Join the park naturalist on a hike to the Benninghoff Farm, with several informational stops along the way. Today this site is home to six 35-foot tall Oil Derricks and an engine house with a beautiful view of part of the Oil Creek Valley. This hike will be out-and-back, totaling 1.5 miles of moderate trail. Bring water! Registration is required. You may register by clicking the green button or calling 814.676.1810.
